Top 3 Live Broadcasts
Our most watched live broadcast in 2021 was the boys final four basketball game against ThunderRidge. Due to the combination of attendance restrictions, the game not being hosted at a neutral site as it is traditionally, and no NFHS Network broadcast requirement, the game was undoubtedly the biggest one CCSN has been able to bring to viewers for free on our YouTube page.
Seniors Nate Henden (Play-by-Play) and Abby Hallam (Analyst) had the call, with junior Ben Parris on the sidelines. The broadcast featured an extended pregame report, fan favorite segment "A Slice of Life with Cooper Katskee" at halftime, and an intense game that took overtime to find a winner.
The Bruins ultimately fell with a 66-64 final score in favor of the Grizzlies, who would become the 2021 5A State Champions days later. The game was an instant classic, and will likely hold the CCSN single-broadcast (non-football) viewership record for years to come.
Top 3 Produced Videos
Our most watched produced video in 2021 was the pilot episode of our currently ongoing series, "All In Cherry Creek Poms." CCSN Executive Producers Benjamin Parris and Raegan Knobbe are following the team as they eye a national championship.
Viewers get a behind the scenes look at a program that very few know about. While many see the poms cheering at countless Cherry Creek events every year, they don't see the preparation, hard work, and competitions that come along with it.
The debut episode of All In explored what it means to be a Cherry Creek Pom, the dedication and sacrifice members of the team have to make, in addition to what goes into the choreography of a routine that can compete on the national level.
All in will continue into the new year.
CCSN newcomer and 1st year Executive Producer Raegan Knobbe takes home our most watched Twitter video of 2021 with her interview of Cherry Creek football's Blake Purchase!
Raegan caught Blake after winning his 3rd state championship in a row, he told her "It's the greatest feeling in the world!" He thanked the people who doubted they could beat Valor Christian for a second consecutive year saying, "That motivated us."
The interview closed with Raegan saying, "You guys [Blake Purchase and QB Christian Hammond] are no longer the little brothers anymore." Blake went on to talk about how special it was for him and Hammond to leave their own legacies at Mile High Stadium in the State Championship just how their older brothers, Myles and Julian, did two years prior.
